Our Jewelry and Coin Picks For Christmas

We asked each member of our team to search our inventory and select their favorite piece of jewelry and a favorite coin. Puts a new spin on ‘jingle,’ doesn’ it? For many, picking just one item proved challenging because our collection offers many incredibly stunning pieces of jewelry and coins that offer rich history and more. See what each of us selected below:

Danelle

For her jewelry selection, Danelle picked a stunning 14K yellow gold, diamond, and tanzanite vintage necklace. This necklace offers a dainty, twisted gold chain and an intricately designed pendant featuring diamonds and a stunning tanzanite center stone. Price: $1,999.

Danelle also picked a very special item for her coin selection. She selected a 2012 P 5 oz 25C El Yunque Puerto Rico coin. This is Danelle’s favorite coin because her family visited El Yunque National Forest in February 2022. During their trip, they hiked up the mountain and then enjoyed the rainbow from the top of Mount Britton Tower. Price: $375.

Darrell

For his coin selection, Darrell picked a 1937-D PCGS F12 3-Legged Buffalo Nickel 5C. At more than 85 years old, this coin holds an incredible amount of history. Price: $440.

Ryan’s jewelry selection is hard to beat. He picked a 1997 Vintage Rolex Day-Date President in 18K Yellow Gold. Rolex’s are classy, stylish, and a great investment. You can’t go wrong with a watch like this! Price: $19,999.

Ryan’s coin selection is a 2013 Australian one-kilo (35.27 ounces) silver bullion coin. Pricing for this coin is dictated by the current silver spot price.

Jaime

Jaime's picks for christmas coins and jewelry

Jaime’s jewelry selections ring a personal note: Jaime chose three GIA-certified yellow diamonds, ranging from 2.17 carats to 2.66 carats and priced from $20,000 to $25,000. He picked these three yellow diamonds because they came from an estate ring that touched his heart.

For his coin selection, Jaime picked a 1-ounce Mexican Silver Libertad Coin. This shining silver coin is a great conversation starter and would make an excellent gift for the coin collector in your life. Price: $50.

Ollie’s coin selection is a Mint Medal 2014 China 5 oz Silver Panda Smithsonian Institution PF 70 Ultra Cameo. This is an extraordinary coin with the cutest design! Price: $350

Noah

His coin selection is an 1875-S Twenty Cent Piece. This coin is in excellent condition and would make a great addition to any coin collection. Price: $550

Will

Will's picks for christmas coins and jewelry

Will is a soon-to-be graduate of Texas A&M, so his pick for his favorite jewelry item was an easy choice. He selected a 14K yellow gold aggie football necklace. Will graduates from Texas A&M with a degree in Economics in December 2023, and understandably, is partial to TAMU jewelry! Price: $199

For his coin selection, Will picked a 1798 Spanish Pillar Dollar Coin. This coin is a remarkable piece of history and will immediately add value to any coin collection. Price: $250.

David’s Jewelry & Coin Exchange Celebrates 3 Years at Newest Location

David’s Jewelry and Coin Exchange

It’s been three years since we made the move to our current location on University Drive East, and what a fantastic three years it’s been! We have made wonderful memories, met amazing people, learned new skills, grown our inventory, and much more! Here are some of our highlights and favorite moments from the last three years.

Store Improvements

Our new store location has been such a blessing! We’ve been hard at work making improvements to our store to ensure that our customers have the best possible experience. The improvements we’re most excited about include:

  • Larger Sales Floor: Our larger sales floor allows us to enjoy an even greater jewelry inventory, which gives our customers an even better selection to browse through.
  • Increased Coin and Bullion Inventory: We’re excited to offer four times the amount of inventory for coin and bullion items! It’s a blessing to have more products to offer our customers, and we look forward to our collection’s continued growth. Shop and view our collection in-store and online!
  • More Convenient Location: You can spot our new location with ease, and it’s much easier to access from University Drive. No tricky entrances and with all parking spaces to the left and right of our store available to our customers, there is plenty of parking!
  • Added Cash Register: Since moving, we have experienced enough growth to add a second cash register! This allows us to provide quality customer service by improving our efficiency and reducing customer wait time at checkout.

Team Updates

Our growth and success wouldn’t be possible without the stellar individuals that work in our store! Here are some of the exciting updates to our outstanding team.

  • New Team Members: We have added a few new faces to David’s Jewelry and Coin Exchange team! New to our team are Russell Thames, Sales Manager; Ryan Hoffman, Sales Associate; and Ollie Goyco, eBay Specialist. We’re thrilled to have them on our team!
  • Familiar Faces (from familiar places): Aggie Pride is just part of who we are. One of our owners, Danelle, is a recent Texas A&M retiree and now works at David’s Jewelry full-time. However, that hasn’t stopped her from cheering on her Aggies any chance she can get.
  • Learning Spanish: Danelle also recently traveled to Samara, Costa Rica, to attend Intercultura Language Immersion School. There, she spent time learning and expanding her Espanol language skills so that she can better serve our Spanish-speaking customers.
  • Internship Program: We’ve successfully launched our internship program for high school students interested in learning about the jewelry and coin industry! It’s essential and incredibly exciting to share our knowledge and help launch the future generation of jewelers and coin collection experts.

Why We Love What We Do at David’s Jewelry & Coin Exchange

david's jewelry and coin exchange

David’s Jewelry & Coin Exchange is owned by David and Danelle Weaver, a husband and wife team with over 30 years combined experience in the jewelry and coin industry. They love what they do and that they get to be a part of the Aggie community while doing it!

What We Do

Buying, selling, and trading jewelry, collectible coins, gold and silver bullion, Louis Vuitton, and Texas A&M collectibles means we are around a lot of high-value items every day. As great as it is to admire the new, vintage, and rare pieces that come in daily, that’s not the best part about what we do or why we love what we do.

David’s Jewelry and Coin Exchange Is Part of the Community

Being in industry for over 30 years, we’ve formed relationships in the Aggie community, and we’re known around town. We love seeing our customers in the Brazos Valley! Beyond that, we also have an online eBay store, and we love serving our online customers across the country.

As mentioned, we have the great privilege of serving the students, athletes, staff, faculty, and alumni of Texas A&M University. Our ties to this close knit and beloved community are stronger than diamonds (pun intended). We are continually grateful to have such a close bond and working relationship with Aggieland and its amazing people.

We Love, Love!

If you’re looking for an engagement ring or wedding set that you’re unlikely to find anywhere else, we’re your go-to! We have a vast inventory of one-of-a-kind rings in every style and taste. We also have many loose diamonds in different cuts that are ready to be added to a setting to make a custom piece. We love that we get to play a small part in two people’s love story. Helping couples pick out their lifetime ring is truly a blessing that we don’t take lightly.

We Believe in Return Appearances

The David’s Jewelry & Coin Exchange jeweler has years of experience repairing broken necklaces, bracelets, and watches and resizing rings. We find a special joy in seeing an old, broken piece of jewelry turned into a new custom piece that will be loved for generations to come.

Whether we are buying or selling jewelry, coins, or bullion, we love getting to know the people of the Brazos Valley and being a part of their celebrations and milestones!

We’d love to get to know you, too! Stop by in person or shop with us on our eBay store. You never know what you’re going to find!
