Do you have a collection of jewelry or coins that you need appraised? Are you unsure if your jewelry or coins are worth anything or do you know they are valuable but need to appraise them to insure them? Here is some information to help you get the appraisal you need.
Types of Appraisals
There are two types of appraisals that we provide for jewelry and coins.
- Identification of Item and Determination of Value
With this service, you can come in, with no appointment necessary, and one of our experienced appraisers can quickly identify and provide a value for your item while you wait. With this service, no written appraisal is provided. If you have a very large collection of jewelry or coins that can’t be done while you wait, the items may need to be left with us that we can set aside time to evaluate your collection. There may also be a charge for this service on very large collections but that is determined on site. - Item Identification and Written Appraisal
Should you need a written appraisal for insurance, estate or financial reasons, bring your items to our store and our expert associates can walk you through the formal appraisal process. For jewelry, we will gather information, take photos and measurements so you can take your jewelry home with you as we work to write up the appraisal. This process generally take less than a week. For coins, we will need for you to leave the collection with us so that we can set aside time to research, identify and value each coin. This process generally takes a week.
